This week I am going to talk about the warm
and beautiful Greece, the country I grew up in!
Two Greek cities you might not though that
they could be a shopping paradise. We’ll then let yourself surprise you!
Athens, the capital of Greece, has so much history,
architecture and famous monuments to visit.
It offers a huge variety of night clubs,
pubs and bars and it’s a shopping paradise as well!
In Athens you can find all kind of stores you
are looking for, if you walk through the streets called Monastiraki and Plaka,
which are located under the hill of Akropolis you will find shops to by some souvenirs
and traditional local products as well as some vintage stores where you can
find some antiques.
And for those who live to shop?
Well if you are looking for the international
chain stores you need to visit the street called Ermou. This street offers
everything from clothes, shoes, accessories to makeup and beauty products. International
names like Benneton, Marks &
Spencer, H&M, Zara, Berksha and Sepura are located there.

will find stores that are only popular in Greece. For example the Greek
department store Fokas which is near to the top of Ermou Street.
Trust me it is
worth visiting if you want to buy something different and typical Greek!
Another store that
is really interesting for all Females is Hondos Centre store. It is nothing you
have experienced before!
The Hondos Centre
is a massive cosmetic store that offers all kind of cosmetic brands, from Dior,

If you are
searching for small individual boutiques, Kolonaki is the place.
Kolonaki has always
been the most fashionable area of Athens, by offering a big variety of small boutiques,
shops for baby fashion, books and cards as well as gourmet chocolates and fresh
roasted nuts are found there.
And not forget to mention that Sales in Greece
are a big deal!
Every January- February or during the summer
time in July-August Athens is putting the prices down so you better be there!
Except the fashion capital, there is another
city where fashion is considered one of the most important things.
Which city is that? It’s the second biggest
city of Greece, called Thessaloniki.

When you visit Thessaloniki one of the first
things that will cross your path is the street called Tsimiski. It is in the
very centre of Thessaloniki and it’s a major shopping district. On this street you
can find the famous international brands, such as Zara, H&M, Massimo Dutti,
Diesel, Intimissimi and many others.
But that’s not all!
Six
department stores and shopping malls, with the names, Notos Galleries, Fokas,
Kanellopoulos, Marks & Spencer, Fenafresh and Plateia shopping centre are
located there.
After having explored Tsimiski Street, it’s a
good idea to move down towards the sea side where you will find Mitropoleos
street and Proxenou Koromila Street. On the first street you will find small independent
local stores, boutiques and outlets, whether on Proxenou Koromila street you
will find all the high end brands, such as, Luis Vuitton, Emporio Armani, MCM.
