New York City Fashion week, what to wear?

My topic for this week is about that to wear for Fashion week in the greatest city of fashion, New York City.

New York City is known as one of the five fashion capitals and its fashion shows are by far the most important ones to attend.

Two times a year New York City is planning these events so that the top designers can introduce their winter and summer collections. Most of the events though have become “industry only”,what does that means?

Well if you are not working for a fashion company nor have good connections with important business people it is almost impossible for you to get a press invitation.

But what if you get the change to go? Then the big question is; what am I going to wear?

First of all Don’t panic!

 One thing you definitely need to know is in which time of the year your fashion show invitation is for. There are two different events of fashion week; one is always held in September where the fall and winter collections are being shown. New York City in September is considered to be really hot during the day and warm at night. 

Dressing for fashion week is like walking the on the runway show yourself, people dress up to impress rather than to watch the show. So let’s take a look at what people wear to Charlotte Ronson´s Fashion show this September.

The woman on the right is wearing a Mickey Mouse jumper and a black and white maxi skirt. The man next to her is wearing a black and white pattern shirt with a red trouser. Whether, the first woman on the left is wearing black and white patterns, strapless top covert from a fur scarf and on the bottom yellow trousers and a black handbag with golden buttoning. The woman next to her is wearing a black and golden covert in patterns t shirt with a golden short pants and a simple brown handbag.

This lady is dressed all in black, with her sandals, trousers, shirt, sunglasses, handbag and hat making a contrast with the blue-green earrings and the stylish bike.

One of the models of the runway is wearing a gold, black designer dress and black high heel boots.

And for the fashion shows that are held in February? Well as you can imagine February is one of the coldest seasons in New York City so better dress up warm! 

My tips here are; you should wear a warm sweater, boots and a winter coat.
